Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Custom Request

This form should be used for University of Oregon campus-wide events. Requests should be made at least 2 weeks in advance to allow time to procure and place interpreter(s) for your event.

Requests for general accessibility or for non-UO members will be charged at $65 per interpreter per hour with a 2 (two) hour minimum. Interpreting requests for accommodations for AEC registered students will not be billed. Requests for interpreting services related to faculty/staff accommodations may be billed to the relevant department. Generally, events over an hour in length will require two (2) interpreters while events under one (1) one will require one (1) interpreter. Depending on the complexity of information, the number of interpreters may change as assessed by the Sign Language Interpreting and Transcription Coordinator. Requests for performances shall be assessed at a lump sum instead of per hour. Cancellations done more than 24 hours in advance will not be billed. Cancellations or no shows with less than 24 hours in advance will still be billed for the full cost of the event.
